My intention at the beginning of this project was to build an ideal, cube shaped house. It was going to have 4 walls, a base and a pyramid looking rooftop. Obviously, this did not go as planned because I did not have enough clay to go forward. That was completely my fault for underestimating how much clay I really had to work with. I decided to take a creative turn and switch my project idea completely. I went forward and made a flower pot. My idea for the “house” aspect of the project was that I was making a “house” for flowers to grow. If I did this project again, I would definitely make sure I had enough clay in advance. I would also draw out a template to help measure and make sure I had enough clay. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this project. It was really fun to be able to create my very own project with my own ideas. I loved ceramics class this year, and I want to thank you for all of your effort to make this class fun during such a tough time!
